The Institute for Policy & Social Research (IPSR) is a designated research center for the social sciences, supporting social science researchers. IPSR supports multiple research centers, their directors, and a network of more than 100 affiliates, and staff.
The Education Program Specialist provides support to project team(s) developing educational events related to sponsored projects and the work of IPSR Center Directors, affiliates and staff. The Program Specialist’s primary responsibilities are to assist team(s) with implementation of sponsored project supported educational programs. This includes organization of workshops, workgroup meetings, conferences, special events, and other activities, as well as monitoring budgets, administrative procedures and reporting.
This position will primarily support the grant-funded Haskell Environmental Research Studies (HERS) Institute Summer Research Program, the Facilitating Indigenous Research, Science and Technology (FIRST) projects, and the Center for Indigenous Research, Science, and Technology (C-FIRST), with the possibility of additional projects to-be-determined.
