Bring your office management experience and enthusiasm for conservation and farming to the Douglas County Conservation District.
We are seeking a District Manager to lead our organization as we stay at the forefront of conservation in Douglas County. You will work closely with state, federal, and local agencies to implement conservation practices and provide education opportunities to Douglas County residents. Applicant must be a self-starter, able to work unsupervised, have a passion for farming and associated conservation practices, and have an ability to work a varied schedule. A driver's license is required, and the applicant must be able to pass a federal security background check.
A strong background using technology (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, GIS mapping) previous office and budget management experience, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to interact with the public is also necessary. Experience with NRCS and Kansas Department of Conservation programs and tools is a plus.
A full-time position, with a health care stipend, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays, plus KPERS retirement, are part of the package.
