Director of Support Services
Cottonwood, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Director of Support Services. This individual is responsible for directing and monitoring the quality of service coordination and health supports to all recipients accessing Cottonwood, Inc. Services in accordance with agency and regulatory standards to make sure recipients receive adequate and appropriate services. Facilitates coordination on issues relating to human rights, individual service planning, behavior programs, advocacy, and funding. Member of Management Team and responsible for the daily operations of the Support Services Department. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Development, or related field with at least three years’ experience in planning and directing educational, occupational, social service, or vocational services. Knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations governing disability services is necessary. Must have the ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written mediums. The Director must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and organize and monitor the work of others.

It became the Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO) for Douglas and Jefferson County. As the CDDO, Cottonwood is the single point of entry connecting individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities to the network of services in this area. Our main office is located at 2801 W. 31st Street in Lawrence. Cottonwood, Inc. is licensed by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).
