To provide a world-class, award winning publication to our 18,000 members, GCSAA is seeking a creative managing editor to oversee the monthly publication process of Golf Course Management (GCM) magazine.
This individual manages all aspects of the production process, from content creation to final production, with an emphasis on copy editing and managing relationships with GCM contributors.
The managing editor will also be responsible for gathering content and artwork, proofing and approving editorial pages, writing of monthly articles, and providing guidance on the aesthetic layout and design, as assigned by the director, publications.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelors degree in Journalism, English or related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years professional experience.
Advanced knowledge of news/feature writing (AP style), interviewing and copy editing a must.
Ideal candidate will have solid Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop etc.)
skills, along with strong project management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with golf, turfgrass management or a membership-driven environment a plus.

Salary range is upper $40s low $50s and will receive GCSAAs attractive benefit package including but not limited to health, dental, vision, life and company-matched 401(k).
