Health Support Specialist FT - M-F day schedule
Accompany individuals with I/DD to scheduled appointments - medical, dental, etc. Act as liaison regarding consumer’s medical history while at the appointment and thereafter with the consumer’s health assessment and recommendations.
Residential FT & PT Evenings & Weekends with some overnights
Assist individuals with I/DD in their homes developing life skills that will help them to take a more active role in the community, as well as lead a more independent life assisting them with grocery shopping, laundry, housekeeping & financial skills as well as spending leisure time with them in community settings.
Must have a valid driver’s license, and driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier, drug test and background check are required. Benefits provided to include health insurance, 403(b), KPERS, vacation/sick leave and paid holidays. EOE to include veterans and persons with disabilities.

Cottonwood, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization that was established in 1972 to provide services to people with developmental disabilities. Over the years Cottonwood has earned a reputation for quality services and care as a community service provider. In 1995, Cottonwood was awarded an additional responsibility through the Developmental Disability Reform Act. It became the Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO) for Douglas and Jefferson County. As the CDDO, Cottonwood is the single point of entry connecting individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities to the network of services in this area.
