The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), headquartered in Lawrence, Kan., is a leading golf organization and since 1926, has been the top professional association for the men and women who manage golf courses in the United States and worldwide. To be able to provide impeccable service to our nine-member Board of Directors, GCSAA is seeking a self-directed individual with strong project management and communication skills to join our team. This position will provide first-class internal and external meeting planning services, including but not limited to travel assistance, housing, air, and ground transportation. In addition, the position will be responsible for budgeting, processing expense reports and various other administrative tasks.
Qualified candidates must be extremely organized, have a high aptitude for attention to detail and possess the ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment. Minimum two years' experience working in meeting planning and/or event coordination in a professional office environment and an Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required. Proficient with Apple products, Office applications and Adobe Acrobat required.
Must be able to travel at least 3-5 times per year. Experience in a non-profit, member driven setting and large-scale events preferred.
We take our work seriously, but we know how to have fun. Position pays $17.00 - $20.00 per hour and will receive GCSAA's attractive benefit package including but not limited to health, dental, vision, life and company matched 401(k).
